Annelies Wentzel, DC
Dr. Annelies Wentzel received her Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA, where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors. She sees neuromusculoskeletal health as an intricate balance between muscle strength, joint mobility, and overall stability; and will address all three as needed when she treats her patients. To accomplish this, she will use her advanced chiropractic and manual therapy techniques combined with functional rehabilitation. Some of these techniques and certifications include:
- Active Release Technique (Spine Certified)
- Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
- Clinical Neurodynamics
- Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization
- Smart Tools (IASTM Certification).
Dr. Annelies is originally from a picturesque city – Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada - and these roots bring a relaxed, small city atmosphere into the busy Silicon Valley rat race and into her treatments. During these treatments, her objective is to take the time to listen to her patients and address the root cause of their complaint. Her treatment goal is to allow her patients to move more and move better. When someone is moving better, they feel better and the end result is a successfully accomplished task or role fulfilled. These tasks and roles can be a simple daily routine, or a high-level athletic pursuit.
Being a lifelong athlete, she always prioritizes sport and exercise while exploring and appreciating the outdoors. She has played on provincial ice hockey teams in Canada and was a collegiate cross-country runner. Since her more competitive team sport days, she has trained and raced in multiple half-marathons and sprint triathlons. Hiking, snow skiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and horseback riding are other activities she loves to do. Dr. Annelies hopes to instill these passions in others, while helping them be their best and move at their best.
